Why I use Posterous

Posted: March 20, 2010 in Uncategorized
I’ve been blogging for a while now, I’ve tried blogger, wordpress (self-hosted), wordpress.com, and a bunch more various blogging services. But I’ve resigned myself to using posterous, because I spend most of my online time in my gmail inbox. It’s really easy for me to hit “compose mail” throw in the posterous email address and chug out a blog post. I used to have no problem going to my dashboard and writing a post, but when something allows me to stay in my inbox, and post to all of my blogs simultaneously, I love it.

I use gchat from my gmail page, I have all of my various email addresses forwarding into one inbox, when facebook introduced e-mail reply, I pretty much stopped going to facebook to reply to messages. I want more of my friends to start using buzz, so that I can stop using going on facebook completely. Google has really started to control my world now, I can type my papers out in google docs, and do spreadsheets, and what not. I’ve found myself spending most of my day on various google services, and I really don’t like to type an address into my address bar, or click through to another site.

Posterous has made my life a lot easier, and I’m sure I’ll keep using it for a long while. The awesome thing about it is that I won’t have any dead internet properties laying around, posterous can post to all of them for me.
